Doug Pederson cut his own son from the Jaguars, proving nepotism is dead (for 1 day)

Among the names cut from active NFL rosters was Josh Pederson, who didn’t make the Jacksonville Jaguars’ squad before the 2023 season begins.

Why is it significant that a tight end who played for the USFL and has shuttled around NFL rosters since leaving Louisiana-Monroe was on that list?

Because his dad is Doug Pederson, who happens to be the head coach of the Jaguars.

There wasn’t a lot of fanfare about the younger Pederson being part of the Jags’ camp. Nor was there much talk about Doug’s team cutting his son. But there you have it. Nepotism is dead (for one day).
